Confederate flag?

I'm curious to know why the Confederate flag is equated with slavery and racism. After Slavery was only outlawed in the civil war. Many owners of slaves in the northern state of the law of war. Furthermore, the war timetable has never been fought against slavery. (see above) was beaten on the rights of the state and taxation without representation. Slavery has become a problem toward the end of the war. I do not understand. All ISEAS?

I agree with you and as an Englishman, I guess I can be called as a nuetral party on the issue. Do not think the question is what the civil war, I fought to believe that many people think that since the Confederation Pro – Position of slavery (with or without war), the battle flag represents a point of racist views in the same way that a Nazi swastika. Personally, I disagree. I think Southerners can still fly the flag, because even have a sense of identity and independence and it should have that right, like Texas Lonestar still flies the flag that represents its republic status and the Hawaiian flag still bears the flag at the top right of the municipality. Was not the United States on the basis of (inter alia) a principle of freedom of expression? The battle flag should be taken as an expression that. More than a crime has been committed under the British flag and nobody thinks twice. The flags along with the flag American, but for example, many Indians will fly "Old Glory" proudly. Represents the nations as a whole, and not the actions of a nation.
