Why children pinching the front of his pants and pull them before sitting down?

I see men do this and I wonder out of curiosity: Why children pinch the front of his pants and pull them before or as they sit?

Trousers especially tend to pull the knees when sit.Quickly to take notes to give more space for knees.And ummmm, other body parts also dismissed uncomfortable.Its sometimes better to cut quickly before sitting down.
