We were having a good time on the porch at Red Rock Ranch. For more photos from the ranch, go to the link on "The Neighbors" page. I'm playing my Bell guitar built by Joel Nowland.

With Nowland C-2
The guitar pictured is a Nowland C-2 nylon string guitar. Built by a fine guitar builder, Joel Nowland from West Point, Utah. I have two other Nowland guitars among the collection in my studio. Not a bad one in the bunch.

Lookin' West

If you like the hat, contact JW Hats in Salt Lake City. Good ol' Jim will make a hat pretty much anyway you would like. Most of the working western musicians around Utah wear hats made by Jim. His number is: 801 977 0676

The Old Days

Before Technicolor, the black and white two reelers were popular at theaters across the nation. The singing cowboy was a hero and heart-throb to the pretty young ladies wishing for men of honesty and valor.

Singing about Cowboys since 1955

For my 8th birthday (long before this picture was taken), I was given a Ukulele. I learned Clementine, The Strawberry Roan and Ol' Paint. The beginnings of my musical life.
