Getting Ready for Those Rainy Days
June 24th, 2011, Posted in Cowboy Boots, Cowboy StuffWhen you live in a city where half of the time it is expected to rain, you learn to prepare for it. You know that you have to rain proof your wardrobe, make sure that you clothes and footwear that fits the weather. It is difficult enough to go about your business with the rain pouring, without the right clothes and footwear it can get even worst.
Thank goodness for waterproof boots! This footwear is definitely a blessing to those who are constantly exposed to the rainy season. Whether you opt for the rain boots or duck boots, they have one thing in common that makes these shoes oh so wonderful, they’re waterproof!! They keep your feet warm and dry even if you have to walk all over town and step into puddles. You don’t need to worry about getting your feet dirty whenever it rains coz you know that it is well protected by these boots.
Trench coats are another item that you need to be part of your wardrobe. It is an essential part of your wardrobe since it can be used even if it is not raining. A classic trench coat complements almost any outfit. Always have an umbrella with you and you don’t need an expensive one either. Buy the cheap but cute umbrellas that way if you lose it, you won’t be bawling your heart out over it. Umbrellas can be an accessory to your outfit and if you buy the cheap ones, you can buy it in different colors or design. A cardigan, a poncho or any type of jacket should be included in your wardrobe as well. You don’t need it to be waterproof, your umbrella will keep it from getting totally soaked but it will definitely help keep you warm.
Don’t wear suede in the rain as it will be ruined, same goes for leather that are not treated with a protectant. Stick to the materials that you know water will not easily damage like rubber. Lastly, always add color to your outfit. It can be your umbrella or your boots or a scarf around the neck, bad weather can be gloomy and depressing and there’s no sense in adding to that gloomy mood by dressing in an all black or gray outfit.
